29th of September!

I was in school today, went to my classes as I always do Art 10c and English 1.
Then I had lunch with Sofie, Margaux and Ernst, it's nice to be able to hang-out with friends during the day... After lunch we went to sit down in the grass.

"the grass feels like plastic" - Camilla
"It's not plastic Camilla" - Sofie.

Then I went to the math complex with Margaux to do some homework, (I'm not taking math by the way) And then we had a race home from school! Me on Pico blvd and Margaux on Pearl st. I won!! Even if I had to walk across the campus that was crowed.
Sonja was waiting for us at the gate and then we got home... Sonja had some Butterfingers (Kexchoklad med jordnötssmör mellan lagerna) Not good...

We were lucky that we could hang-out by the pool, it's September people!! And the Pool!! Crazy!!!

Rollerskating disco!!!

After my class on Thursday night I got back home to the apartment and it was full of "Nurses" I got dressed in to my out-fit á 80th!! Noemi came not long after and the "Nurses" on tour was completed.... I just love my nurses! Noemi brought the boys to! So that was fun! We talked and the the guards came and told us to be quiet... we weren't loud but anyway. We got in to the cars, I was driving one of them... I think I need to get used to the LA traffic because it's bad... Anyone in Sweden that have been driving in Stockholm? Take Stockholm and multiplication with 10 and you have the daily LA traffic!! Cars every were! Sorry Sonja but I'm not used to big cities like this... Anyway back to my story, we headed to Glendale for the Rollerskating disco!
It was so fun, I just had to figure out how they worked (I'm used to in-lines) I was able to understand the skates but not how you stop with out crashing in to something. Sonja was the wild one! I wonder if her skates had red-bull before...? Thanks Noemi for finding this fun place... The night ended Friday morning at 4am and then Camilla was back at school at 9am.

Thank you all Nurses and the boys for a fun night!

a dash of homesickness...

"Everything is't good even trough most part is"
I got a dash of homesickness I was watching a movie about Christmas and felt so far away suddenly.

I won't lie to you but I miss you all at home, it's strange to be back in the US again. I think I'm realizing where I am, far far far away. It will go over, I just can't sleep right now..

And Happy Birthday Dad. I will call you later!!! I Love you!

Hollywood Weekend

Once up on a time there was a girl named Camilla. She was very beautiful and where now living her own dream and no one else's dream. She text her friend Becka on her BB (BlackBerry) and told her that she wanted so badly go out on Abbey this Friday night. Actually Camilla text Becka Monday morning..... "to early to know about Friday" came back from Becka's BB.... the day's went by and Camilla text Becka back on Thursday the same week, still wanted to go to Abbey. And Becka said YES!!! Camilla was so happy. On Friday evning Camilla took the bus from Pico to Becka. After a long bus ride... Camilla found Becka's apartment 1811...
As Camilla stepped in to Becka's place it did't take long until someone gave her a glass of wine. (And Amy this night it was't the cheap $3.00 wine...)
Becka was in a hurry, did she run or jump?

After a few more drinks Camilla go a little close up to Becka...And she was't very good with her camera either.
But never give up... here Camilla tried to capture her self, Becka, Michelle and Alejandro.

Camilla found her self a "stoned" boyfriends when the others of the group were still drinking their drinks.... Camilla was very good and gave hers away to Becka.

The day after.... Camilla, Becka and Alejandro went to the food store where they bought BBQ stuff, salsa and cheap wine + Lindeman! (Amy don't look at the cheap wine!) When they came back to the patio the party begun again....

Sunday, Camilla was so happy for sunglasses! Hang over and no sunglasses is a big NO NO!!

The Getty!

At 8am me and Margo had to get up to move Sofie's car from one parking space to another. And then back to bed again. When I woke up 2 h later I felt drunk as never before. With out drinking! But I had to get up, big day because I was going to The Getty museum.
I took my bike to Wilshire ave/26th to get on Metro 720 to Wilshire ave/ West Wood only to find out after spending $6 on a day pass that Big Blue Bus went there! ( I ride the Big Blue Bus for free)
I had to wait forever on my next bus 761. When I got on the bus and got me a seat I saw Martina ( My new Irish friend) She reminds me of my mum's cousin Martina a little ( In a very good way, me and my "boxes". I always put people in "boxes" don't ask me why)
We talked about what was new since we meet each other at a Irish or English bar (don't remember)

I got to see Monet and Vincent Van Gogh to and that was one of the best things ever! I just love their paintings so much!

American football Sat evening!

When I found my way home after The Getty I went with Sonja, Sofie and Margo to see our schools first game of American football.... sorry to say that we left after a half time.... No action that kept us interested.... We saw Sonja's friends... they were cheering allot! (But I think that Sonja would have done it much better)

Nurses on tour at Rainbow!

What a night!
Friday night, we all meet up at Rite Aid at 7.45 (Sofie, Ernst & Sonja at 8.05) "We are getting a little late" Anyway I got to drive Sofie's car! A Mercedes!!! Noemi the only one of our group that actually is able to find the way here. (GPS) Took the lead towa
rds Rainbow in Hollywood! We picked up Sofie's friend Maria to! and when we should find our way out from...
...the Parking house it was a really Horror Movie....

...we made it out after going up and down the elevator 100 times, we were quite relief when we got out from the EXIT door! We went to get something to eat, not good to drink on a empty stomach... I've tried that so I know what I'm talking about! ( I was driving so it was all diet coke for me)
When we came in to Rainbow "Rainbow is an old rustic night club were all famous people came to have a drink and relax back in the Rock'n roll time! " we had our drinks and were standing in a circle talking and this guy came up and started to talk to us. (the guy was in his 50th some thing) He was wondering how we were and what we did. The girls (we) glazed at each other and then we started to tell him that we were Nurses on tour! We made up a story about us and each one of us filed in so it ended like this:

We are nurses on tour from Sweden that are going all over the states visiting hospitals. The Swedish government has send us on a mission to find out ways to improve our care in Sweden. We get paid for doing this and having fun. And we sleep at a hotel in one room with two queen beds and we have pillow fights every night. And just I almost forgot "We give shots in the ass"

Nurses on tour!
We drove home by 2.30 am, I was in bed 4.02 tired.

Call from Thailand!

This day ended good with a call from my friend Kip in Thailand. It was so nice talking to her, and actually talking instead of writing e-mails. We talked about our Au Pair Memories from Woodstock Vermont.

Before Kip called I got to talk to my aunt I-M and got to here about my cousins.
And I talked with Elina on MSN... It's means so much to be able to talk to my friends and family.
Thank you!

Time for bed now!

Writing- and Reading Disability

I will do my best to try to explain my and many other peoples WRD (Writing- and Reading Disability) This dose't mean that you are dumb, that your brain is slow. WRD is just that the brain takes longer time to get the information to attach and stay there. WRD shows in different ways from people to people things you can have a extra hard time with can be :

Learning Style

Had unusual developmental stages (crawling, walking, talking).
Appears bright, highly intelligent, & articulate, but unable to read, write, or spell at grade level.
Labeled lazy, dumb, careless, immature, or "not trying hard enough."
High in IQ, yet may not test well academically.
Feels dumb; has poor self-esteem; hides or covers up weaknesses with compensations.
May be talented in art, drama, music, brain-storming, mechanics, story-telling, sales, business, designing, building, engineering, & sports.
Seems to "zone out," or daydream a lot; gets easily lost or loses track of time.
Difficulty sustaining attention; seems "hyper" or "spacy".
Tests well orally, but not on written tests.
Learns best through hands-on experience, demonstrations, experimentation, visual aids, & observation.
Language / Reading Skills
Learns best through hands-on experience, demonstrations, experimentation, visual aids, & observation.
Gets dizzy; develops headaches & stomachaches when reading. Doesn't read for pleasure.
Confused by letters, numbers, words, verbal explanations, or sequences.
Reading or writing may show repetitions, transpositions, additions, omissions, substitutions & reversals in letters, words, and/or numbers.
Reads aloud well, but can't recall what was read.
Spells phonetically and inconsistently.
Hears things not said or not apparent to others; easily distracted by sounds.
Difficulty putting thoughts into words; stutters under stress, mispronounces long words, or transposes phrases & words when speaking.
Vision
Complains of feeling or seeing non-existent movement while reading, writing, or copying.
Difficulty with vision, yet standard eye exams don't reveal a problem.
Keen-sighted and observant, but may lack depth perception and peripheral vision.

Motor Dexterity

Handwriting varies or is illegible.
Trouble with writing or copying; pencil grip may be unusual.
Uncoordinated, poor at ball or team sports, difficulty with motor skills & tasks.
Prone to motion sickness.
Can be ambidexterous.
Confuses left/right and over/under.

Time/Math

Difficulty telling time, managing, & being on time. Difficulty learning sequenced information or tasks.
Shows dependence on finger counting, tricks, and gimmicks.
Can count, but has difficulty counting objects and/or dealing with money.
Can do arithmetic, but not word problems; cannot grasp algebra or higher math.

Memory / Cognition

Excellent long-term memory for movies, experiences, locations, & faces.
Poor memory for sequences, and unexperienced facts & information.
Thinks with images or feelings, not the sounds of words (little internal dialogue).

Behavior

Extremely disorderly.
Isn't "behind enough" or "bad enough" to be helped in school setting.
Can be comedian, trouble-maker, or quiet.
Easily frustrated or emotional about school, reading, writing, or math.
Prone to allergies and ear infections.
Sleep patterns: can be an extra deep or light sleeper.
Bedwetting beyond appropriate age.
High or low tolerance for pain.
Strong sense of justice.
Sensitive, emotional; strives for perfection.
Mistakes & symptoms increase dramatically with confusion, poor health, time pressure, emotional stress & age.

The boxes that I checked is some that I have or have had as a child. There is no cure for WRD but there is ways of learning to live with it. I do my best but some times it takes so much energy that I can't concentrate for a long period.

I just accepted that I had this problems, there is so many ways that YOU can get help to if you have a hard time with WRD. Don't push it away! It's okay to be different from others. One of my teachers said some thing thats so true; If you are in a meeting with 30 other people and there is a problem. 29 of the people is "Normal" they will think in "the same way" and you will probability see the problem from a different angel. So you will be a recurs for the company. Don't be ashamed for who you are!

Things that helps me with my WRD is ;

CD books
Marking a text
Writing
When I can put the thing I'm about to learn in a real everyday situation
Google
My blog has actually improved my writing dramatically
When I'm able to work with my hands

I hope that this will help you understand me and most of all your self too!

ME, I had SPF15 on.... but still I looked like a boiled crayfish! And I don't lie when I tell you that it hurts so much!!! I went to the pharmacy later and bought SPF 30!

After the beach we went for drinks.... it seams like it's the only thing we do!

SuNdAy!

At 10.30 I woke up at Sofie's place.... We went out last night and had a really good time! But I'm glad that a stopped early with my drinking and just had water the last 4 hours! No hang-over!!
We decided that we would take our breakfast at Farmers Market on Main St in Venice. We also meet up with Margo and Sonja. I bought organic pesto with garlic and chili.
Then we headed for our pedicure... anyone who like my purple nail color?

And after a lovely massage and new paint on our nails we went shopping, and I bought jet an other dress!!! I really have to stop now with my dresses and buy some pants and long sleeved shirt. It's cold here now. I found a cute ring with a bird on too.
After that we went to Venice beach walk because me and Margo needed to buy bikes. Mine is the red one and Margo's is the pink one. Very nice. And after that Me, Sonja and Sofie went out for dinner at a old fire station. And then I took my bike home.

September!!!
Do you want to know something that you wont believe? I did't Snooze this morning!!! First ever! Must be my new bed that arrived yesterday! To bad that I had nightmares, that was't fun at all and it all feel't so real.

I had some breakfast, the and water. Got ready for school... I took Sofie's bike to school she left it here yesterday. Parked the bike and then went to class, I thought that I had 20 min before class but when I came in to the classroom I looked at the my BB (BlackBerry) and there were just 3 min before class should start. The class was nice and I learned allot. The teacher introduced Illustration and most of the tools.

English one, it is interesting when you are able to follow among the teacher but sometimes I loose my self because he is using same voice ton for 75 min....

After class I saw Ernst 0and then we found Sofie. Hungry as we were we headed outside school to look for a place to eat ( Not easy when you are three people to decide) But I think that we ended up in a place called Green Garden something...

Then I meet my friend Rebecka, why is all of my friends named Rebecka??? We went to a falafel place and then home to me... And Becka tried teach me about my BB. My internet on my phone is not the best right now so I will have to take it to Radio Shack tomorrow!!!

After Becka went home I headed for the gym and now I'm here blogging about my long day!

Take care!
